Don’t open that email!!

So much rubbish comes into our inbox these days that it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s not.
Here’s our top five rules on keeping your computer and your privacy safe.

  1. NEVER open attachments from unknown senders, especially ones like ‘invoice.zip’
  2. Scammers rely on only a few people in a thousand (or million) to open or click on links, don’t be one of them.
  3. Banks, online stores, PayPal, TradeMe etc never need you to confirm your login, especially via email.
  4. Hover over any links to see a preview of the destination before even thinking of clicking on them.
  5. If in any doubt, delete it! If they know you and it was important, they’ll call you 🙂
