Today marks the launch date for the new WordPress powered website for the Sexual Abuse Centre (Rotorua) Inc.

Eric from the centre contacted us wanting an uncluttered, professional web presence, so using the neutral ‘earthy’ colour palette and logo that was designed by the talented Glenn McLeary from Red Spot Design we designed this custom WordPress theme.

We had to tread carefully with such a topic, so the website needed to remain clean and not to overwhelming.

New stand-alone education website

After many months of committee meetings and development stage sign-off’s, we are pleased to present the completed Rotorua Education Network website.

Originally part of rotoruaNZ.com, the official tourism website for Rotorua, is now finally standing alone by itself.

Development began late 2009 and it’s great to finally have it launched and live on the interweb.

A simple and clean ‘education’ themed site powered by WordPress, giving the power and simplicity back to the people who own and mange the website, and not us, the web development agency.

Local media & PR company goes global

Jill Marshall Media Ltd. is the newest marketing and PR company in Rotorua and was setup by Jill Marshall.

It’s our latest website and was launched tonight. Powered by the worlds most popular Content Management System (CMS), WordPress.

Jill contacted us wanting a simple, clean website to initially showcase her services and give a professional ‘shop-front’ for all her potential clients to check her credentials.

New rural urban escape for Rotorua

We launched another website last night, powered by the worlds most popular Content Management System (CMS), WordPress.

Banksia Cottage is set on a lifestyle block 10mins North of Rotorua central city on State Highway 33. It’s a lovely small cottage with nice homely touches. Would be great for a small family or couple wanting something a bit more substantial than a square motel or hotel room. The kids will love the animals they have there: dog, cat, chickens, sheep and a pig.

Paddy and Jan are great hosts and we wish them all the best of luck as Rotorua gets set to be New Zealand’s newest international airport, taking direct flights to and from Sydney from December 12, 2009.

Countdown to Rotorua-Sydney trans-tasman flights

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on the letsgorotorua.co.nz website for Rotorua Economic Development.

They needed something put live straight away to start educating the public, so it’s been launched already but will be a work in progress as we continue to develop and design additional elements and functionality.

Developed initially to inform the Rotorua community as to the new trans-tasman direct flights between Rotorua and Sydney starting December 12, 2009 and all the goings on around the inaugural flight’s arrival. But will continue as a community brand to create a pride in our city by Rotorua locals.

Another single page site goes live

It’s not very often a client only wants a single page website just to give the basic information about what they do. But when you get a project like that it’s very refreshing, as you can spend a bit more time focusing on the visuals to get a very pleasing site to the eye.

Journalist publishes worldwide

A local Rotorua freelance journalist by the name of Justine Southwick trusted Hodgeman Web & Design to create a professional, modern website for her to showcase her published articles to the world.

The new site, still to be launched officially, features a custom, secure administration area for her to login to. Once logged in, Justine can add her articles and upload photos into the database. The public then see a short teaser for each article on the website and if they want to read more, they then open a dynamic PDF, created on-the-fly of the full length article.

Complete rebrand for local motelier

A small local motelier enlisted the services of Hodgeman Web & Design to give their business a fresh new look for their relaunch. Previously known as Rotorua Microtel, the new central up-market Motel and Backpackers is now known as ASTRAY.

Almost taking advantage of all of our main services, ASTRAY requested the services of Hodgeman Web & Design for their logo design, business cards, letter-head creation, domain name management, website design and hosting.
